Wound Assessment & Dressing

A full wound assessment and dressing at home, with a written wound care plan. Time can vary with the size and type of wound.

What's included

Wound measurement and photo record (with consent)
Cleansing and dressing using aseptic technique
Check for pain and signs of infection
Written wound care plan with dressing choice and visit frequency
Copy of the plan for you and your GP
Follow-up dressing visits as your plan needs

Who it's for

Anyone with a new or non-healing wound: skin tears, leg ulcers, pressure injuries or surgical wounds.

Please have ready

Any dressing orders from your GP or hospital, and dressings you already have at home.

How care is delivered

A Registered Nurse visits you at home or in supported accommodation. Care is provided with your consent and within the nurse's scope of practice. If anything needs a doctor's review, we contact your GP with your permission.
