Privacy policy

Vesta Nursing (a business name of Carevault Pty Ltd, ABN 12 695 531 036) respects your privacy. As a health service provider we follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), the Australian Privacy Principles and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002 (NSW). This policy explains, in plain English, how we handle your personal and health information.

What we collect

How we collect it

Mostly from you directly, through our website request form, by phone, by email or during visits. With your consent we may also receive information from your GP, hospital, family, carers, support coordinator, plan manager or aged care provider.

Why we use it

Who we share it with

Only as needed for your care and with your consent, or where the law allows or requires it. This may include your GP and other treating health professionals, your plan manager, the NDIA, your Support at Home or Home Care provider, and emergency services if your health or safety is at serious risk. We never sell your information or use it for marketing.

How we store and protect it

Your records are kept securely in password-protected systems with access limited to the people providing your care. We use trusted service providers for our website, email and practice software. Some of these providers may store data outside Australia, for example our website request form, which is hosted in the United States. We choose providers with strong security and take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Health records are kept for at least 7 years after your last visit, or for clients under 18, until they turn 25, as required by NSW law. After that they are securely destroyed.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see or correct the information we hold about you at any time. Email info@vestanursing.com.au and we will respond within 30 days.
